In this video, Board Game Inquisition reviews what we feel are the five most important aspects of the board game The King is Dead: Second Edition published by Osprey Games and designed by Peer Sylvester. We discuss the topic of the game, the mechanics it uses, what the game is like on the table, how it looks and feels and of course it’s pros and cons. This is an area control game I enjoyed far more than I thought I would!

Great review – appreciate your thoughts on this game. I would be interested to hear your take if/when you play with more than 2.
Thanks! I’m not sure when I’ll have more than two players for things these days I’m afraid but I’m certain that the game would have more tension as each decision would impact multiple players. I think it’ll be good at lots of player counts 🙂
Another interesting and informative review. Thanks!
Reminds in a little of Carolus Magnus in that control of a color / group is only temporary and can shift during the game.
I’ve not heard of that title before but it looks beautiful on BGG!
