Who is Good Owl Games?
Antoinette Mason is an accidental board game reviewer who loves dry euro games and long walks on the beach. She lives in Cork, Ireland working on Good Owl Games as a way to tell people about fantastic board games and to work on her own mental health. She's very proud of her unbroken win streak playing Time of Legends: Joan of Arc and doesn't play favourites among her games, they're all special!
A thing that I’d find interesting, if you felt like doing it in future – briefly compare the game under consideration with other games with a similar theme or mechanics. In this case the theme comparison would probably be Knizia’s Modern Art, but clearly it’s a very different gameplay – that game often feels as though it’s an excuse to have different sorts of auction.
Hello again Roger! I agree with you, it’s something I try to do when suggesting similar games. Oddly enough I’ve not played any other Art related games, despite knowing of their existence. Some, despite similar games, just play very differently and can be hard to compare but if I see a connection I’ll be sure to highlight it!
